The 42-inch Accel Deep™ deck is constructed from 12-gauge steel and uses a side-discharge design to provide effective grass processing at higher mowing speeds. The mower features dual Hydro-Gear EZT hydrostatic transmissions and twin-lever controls, allowing precise zero-turn maneuvering around trees, landscaping, and other lawn obstacles.

For operator comfort, the Z345M features an 18-inch medium-back seat with armrests, two-spring suspension, color-coded controls, and adjustable motion-control levers. The mower provides a maximum forward speed of 7 mph and a reverse speed of 3.5 mph.
